A total or partial breakup of a bone is called fracture. It can assume characteristics and different gravity in base to the type.

It can be:

  • Exposed that is when a stump lacerates the external fabric and goes out.
  • Traumatic if provoked by a strong bump.
  • Pathological if provoked from a smaller density of the bone (osteoporosis) or from a bony tumor.
  • Decomposed if the two or more stumps are not lined up.
